AN ASTOUNDING symmetrical black-and-white photograph of a man feeding white swans on a snowy day is winning rave reviews for its picture perfect composition.

Polish photographer Marcin Ryczek juxtaposition of black and white, snow and water plus human and animal elements is the beautiful culmination of some very careful planning.

“It was thought out and planned,” says Ryczek of the image, taken on the Vistula River in Krakow, Poland. “I had an idea in my head to realize, but I was waiting for the right moment and succeeded, during one of my walks.”

“I watched this place for a long time I went that way many times, having in my mind the idea of this photo.”

The incredible image has drawn comparisons with the work of the acclaimed American photographer Ray K Metzker, who is known for his high contrast black white photos.
