World"s First Nobu Hotel Opens In Vegas

The world’s first Nobu Hotel opened its doors to visitors Monday in Las Vegas.

Owned as a partnership by Robert De Niro, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa (with Nobu shareholders), and Hollywood producer Meir Teper, the 181-room hotel is the first celebrity chef-branded hotel in Vegas, according to a press release. The property features natural design elements complete with cherry blossoms and origami (by famed designer David Rockwell) and even has a Nobu room service menu. The hotel will also feature the world’s largest Nobu restaurant (clocking in at a whopping 12,775 square feet) that seats 327.

The hotel is going high-tech with its no lobby approach; instead guests are escorted to their rooms by iPad-wielding staff members so they can check in privately, the Los Angeles Times reports.
