A TEENAGE boy as escaped a terrifying lunge from a hungry 5m saltwater crocodile at Kakadu in the Top End.

The croc attacked the teen while he was fishing with his family at Magela Creek behind Mudginberri outstation, 10km north-east of Jabiru, Kakadu National Park’s tourism and visitor services manager Tracey Diddams told NT News.

And locals have been warned to stay away until the monster croc is trapped. The incident happened on January 9.

“Just like us all, crocs too are waiting for the big wet and they can get just as edgy and frustrated,” Ms Diddams said.
