FROM Broome, WA, to Sydney’s Bondi Beach, we live in a uniquely diverse country.
Spanning the quiet, coastal towns that line the Eastern Seaboard, to the arid landscapes of the Top End and the remote rural regions of Central Australia, we’re a nation that proudly rejoices in mateship and togetherness.
And news.com.au wants to celebrate this. But we need your help!
We want you to Instagram/Flickr/Tweet/Facebook us your homes or suburbs – whether they’re Federation-style finesses, one-bedroom wonders, or just humble caravans – share them with us @newscomauHQ via the hashtag #whereilive.
Or if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, send us something that encapsulates your suburb – whether it’s a photo of your local fire brigade, the cornershop, or even the cafe – heck, we’d love to see your town’s tourist hotspots. We’re looking at you, Broken Hill. Big Bench, Big Ant, you’ve got it all.

“Today, there are close to 23 million Australians, each with our own equally important story to tell,” said the Chair of the National Australia Day Council, Adam Gilchrist AM.
“Together, we make Australia strong, vibrant and enduring – together, we are Australia.”
Hear, hear!
We urge you to join in the togetherness and share with us what you think makes this country so special.

Follow our simple five-step guide to join news.com.au and our fellow Aussies sharing their favourite locctions through #whereilive:
1. Take a photo with your iPhone, iPad, Galaxy SIII, HTC, Nokia, or whatever smartphone you’re into, and load it onto Instagram/Flickr/whatever photo sharing app you use;
2. Carefully touch up your photo with an appropriate hipster filter;
3. Write a caption with a brief description of what you love about said picture, add the @newscomauHQ username and the #whereilive hashtag. This is the most important step. But nearly as important is to;
4. Duplicate your post on Twitter and Facebook;
5. Share it with your friends!
We’ll collate our favourite pics and showcase them on news.com.au in a #whereilive gallery.
We just have three simple rules:
- Pick something that’s representative of your home or city. We want to see what best symbolises your suburb and how it’s different to everyone else’s.
- Check that you have the right permissions and don’t invade anyone’s privacy. If someone doesn’t want their face in your shot, respect that wish; and
- NO. SELFIES. We can’t handle trout pout.
We look forward to hearing from you!

We love a road trip, don’t you? “On the road to beautiful Esperance in Western Australia!” posted @seeaustralia.
