Check out whales over the salted rim of a frozen margarita at Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos, which will reopen March 1 after a multimillion-dollar renovation.
The 288-room waterfront resort, which includes a top-floor whale-watching bar, sits at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, near central Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. It was formerly called the Finisterra Hotel. Now it will become the first Sandos resort in Los Cabos, and the brand’s fourth in Mexico.
“The new elements include a world-class spa, more than 200 renovated and brand-new guestrooms and the whale-watching bar,” said Jacques De Paep, corporate director of sales and marketing for Sandos Hotels Resorts.
De Paep emphasized the resort’s competitive rates, which include a 25% introductory discount offered to those who book between March 1 and April 6. The hotel will become an all-inclusive resort, offering one price for accommodations and meals. Rates begin at $130 per person, per day.
Other changes include the addition of the Tortuga Beach, a casual waterfront café, and the Don Diego, an open-air kitchen-style restaurant featuring a breakfast buffet and à la carte dinner.
