Small ship operator Variety Cruises has announced plans for two sailings this year aimed at lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender travelers, up from one last year.
The Greece-based company says the seven-night Rainbow Spirit Cruises, as they’re called, will kick off in Athens on Aug. 9 and Aug. 23, and include more than half a dozen stops in the Aegean Islands.
The trips will take place on the 50-passenger Harmony V, a 56-foot-long mega-yacht that is one of Variety’s larger vessels.
Variety says calls will include a half-day visit to the island of Delos, home to Greek archaeological sites such as the Temples of Isis and Hera. The Harmony V also will stop at the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos for a day and a half, and the island of Santorini for a day. The islands of Folegandros, Poliegos, Milos and Hydra also are on the schedule.
